For the last seven years, GLP has worked directly with New York City public schools to implement model language programs. In doing this work, GLP identified a nationwide need for world language teachers to have access to best-in-class, thematic, standards-aligned curricula, and ongoing professional development, coaching, and leadership opportunities. Therefore after six years of in-school partnerships, GLP is refining its focus and working to scale its impact by providing direct service to cohorts of individual world language instructors through curricula development and ongoing professional training.

Our professional development programs provide teachers with opportunities to deepen their classroom impact and to collaborate with other language educators across the city. We have different programs and opportunities year-round for teachers from different language backgrounds, grades, schools and communities.
